Privacy Policy
How Blisslume collects, uses and looks after your details — from dinner bookings to poker night sign-ups. Written plainly, because legal pages should be readable.
What this covers
This policy applies to blisslume.com and to anything you share with us in person — bookings, event tickets, competition entries and enquiries. It explains what we collect, why we need it, who sees it and how you can get a copy or a correction.
Blisslume Hospitality Ltd (NZBN 9429052418763) is the "agency" responsible for your information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. If anything below is unclear, contact us before your visit and we'll walk you through it like humans.

The short version
We collect only what a booking needs, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site and venue, we may hold:
- Contact details — name, email and phone from booking or enquiry forms.
- Booking info — dates, party size, dietary requirements, occasion notes and seating preferences.
- Event details — poker night seat requests, poker tournament entries, Cumberland Cup leaderboard names and private-event briefs.
- Payment traces — confirmation references only; card processing happens through our payment provider, we never see full card numbers.
- Site data — basic analytics like pages visited and device type (see our cookie policy).

How we use it
To run your evening
- Confirming tables, game seats and event tickets
- Prepping for dietaries, allergies and occasions you mention
- Contacting you if a booking changes or a poker night sells out
To run the business
- Season leaderboards and records for the Cumberland Cup and weekly poker games
- Understanding which pages people read so the site stays useful
- Meeting legal obligations — licensing, tax and responsible-service records
What we don't do: sell your data, run ad profiling, or share your details with marketers. Full stop.

Who sees it
Your details stay inside a small circle:
- Our floor team — hosts, kitchen and dealers, only what they need for your visit.
- Service providers — the booking system, payment processor and email service, all bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Authorities — only where the law requires it (licensing checks, safety incidents).
Nobody else. Not sponsors, not data brokers, not that mate who swears he left his wallet here in 2019.
Storage & security
Booking data lives in our reservations system (hosted, encrypted, access-controlled). Tournament results and event lists are kept for three seasons then cleared. Paper notes from service are shredded weekly. Poker results live on the chalkboard — first names only, never contact details.
If something ever goes wrong — a breach that risks serious harm — we'll tell you and the NZ Privacy Commissioner, as the Act requires.

Your rights
Under the Privacy Act you can:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your details (we'll keep only what the law makes us keep — e.g. licensing records).
- Complain to us first, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you're still unhappy.
Email blisslume@gmail.com with "Privacy request" in the subject and we'll sort it within 20 working days — usually much faster.

Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the "updated" date at the top. Anything major — like a new kind of data collection — we'll flag on-site before it happens. Check back occasionally if you're the type who reads these. (Respect.)
