Cookie Policy
A short, honest list of the cookies blisslume.com uses — the ones that keep the site working and the ones that tell us whether anyone reads the poker nights page. (They do.)
What cookies actually are
Cookies are tiny text files a website leaves on your device. They remember things — like the fact you dismissed the cookie banner, or that your booking form was half-finished when the cat walked across the keyboard.
They can't run programs, read your files, or tell us what you had for breakfast. They're boring, useful and — unlike our poker trophies — entirely under your control.
The cookies we use
Essential
- blisslume-cookie-choice — remembers your banner answer so we don't ask every visit.
- Form state while you fill in a booking or enquiry.
- Security tokens that keep the forms spam-free.
Analytics
- Anonymous page stats — which pages get read (the poker page, mostly).
- No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no creepy stuff.
That's the whole list. We don't sell data and we don't run ad networks — the only thing we track is whether the site is doing its job.
Third-party cookies
Two places on the site load content from elsewhere:
- Google Maps on the contacts page — Google may set its own cookies when the map loads. Their policy applies there.
- CDN libraries (Bootstrap, FontAwesome, the fonts) — these serve files, not trackers.
If you'd rather not load third-party content, the map's address — 309 Cumberland Street — works fine typed straight into your own maps app.
How to manage or delete them
- The banner — hit "No thanks" and non-essential cookies never load. Change your mind anytime by clearing site data.
- Your browser — every browser lets you block or wipe cookies (check Settings → Privacy). Blocking essentials may break the booking form.
- Ask us — email blisslume@gmail.com and we'll tell you exactly what's stored.
Saying no to cookies changes nothing in the venue — dinner, drinks and poker nights all work exactly the same in person. Your seat at the poker table doesn't depend on a text file.
How long they last
- Session cookies — gone when you close the browser.
- Cookie-choice cookie — one year, then we ask again.
- Analytics — anonymised and aggregated; no personal trails are kept.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add new cookies — say, an events calendar widget for Cumberland Cup poker nights — this page gets updated first and the banner will ask again. The date at the top always shows the current version.
